Key Issues and Experience in US Water Services Privatization

Jacobs, Jeffrey W. “Key Issues and Experience in US Water Services Privatization,” Water Resources Development 21, no. 1 (2005): 89-98. http://web.ebscohost.com.ezproxy.mnsu.edu. (Accessed February 8th, 2011).

This article discusses the Safe Drinking Water Act of 1974 and potential concerns over what water privatization could mean for the United States. This article appears to be very well-balanced, and does not appear to be very biased on either side of the issue, which increases the confidence I have in it as a valuable source. Indianapolis is talked about as having repossessed its water back from the private sector, which is notable to my research. Also discussed are different options for providing water services and water regulation. Although I think I may use some of the information, I feel that its contents are more theoretical and contain less solid evidence that I require for my paper.
